This is more or less the point where an aluminium sprocket is on the limit of his mechanical characteristics. Premature wear results in power loss and as a result the material fatigue can cause cracks.

In racing the lifetime of a steel sprocket will be clearly superior to an aluminum sprocket. While a steel sprocket will be slightly heavier than an aluminum sprocket, the RLK sprocket design makes this steel sprocket as light as possible.

Hardened teeth, 4 times harder than aluminium sprocket, give negligible wear and increase transmission efficiency. Developed in partnership with Forward Racing MotoGP team, who report no measurable wear until 3000km+.
Part number: 12814RLK-45

Fits

Suzuki GSX-R1000 2017–2022

Yamaha YZF-R 6 RACE 2022–2023

Yamaha YZF-R3 2015–2018

Yamaha YZF-R3 2019–2020

Yamaha YZF-R3 2021–2026

Yamaha YZF-R6 2006–2007

Yamaha YZF-R6 2008–2016

Yamaha YZF-R6 2017–2020

https://www.trackready.co.uk/products/afam-rear-sprocket-520-conversion-steel-45t-orig-size-12814rlk-45-12814rlk-45
