The use of other aftermarket brands of pads with Galfer discs will invalidate your warranty and could reduce performance.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eMake sure the wheel hub contact surface is free of dirt or paint and use new disc mounting bolts if necessary.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eReplace your brake fluid frequently and make sure your brake system is bled correctly.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eThe thickness of the Galfer disc may vary from the original disc; this difference is not of any importance for your brake function.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eCentre the disc on the clean hub and mount the bolts according to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) torque specs.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eAlways use your new brakes gently for the first 100 km (60 miles) or 2 hours of riding after installation (except in emergency situations). This will allow the new disc and pads to mate properly. Avoid harsh braking during this period unless in an emergency. Braking power can be severely reduced during the breaking-in period.
