Many of today s production bikes deliver over 200 HP. This is more or less the point where an aluminium sprocket is on the limit of his mechanical characteristics. Premature wear results in power loss and as a result the material fatigue can cause cracks.
In racing the lifetime of a steel sprocket will be clearly superior to an aluminum sprocket. While a steel sprocket will be slightly heavier than an aluminum sprocket, the RLK sprocket design makes this steel sprocket as light as possible.
Hardened teeth, 4 times harder than aluminium sprocket, give negligible wear and increase transmission efficiency. Developed in partnership with Forward Racing MotoGP team, who report no measurable wear until 3000km+.
